More than 20,000 visitors are expected to the 13th International Festival

From November 18 to the 21st, the 13th “Jose Alfredo Jimenez International Festival” will be held in the Magical Town of Dolores Hidalgo CIN, an event that is held year after year in honor of “El Rey”, also known as “The People’s Poet”.
Representing Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato, Francisco Javier Valverde Polin, director of Tourism Development and Paloma Jimenez, daughter of the singer-songwriter from Dolores and director of the Jose Alfredo Jimenez House Museum; Jose Guillermo Azanza Liera, director of the Jose Alfredo Jimenez House Museum; and Juan Roberto Reyna, Director of Tourism for Dolores Hidalgo CIN, announced the details in Mexico City.
During the 4 days of the festival, Valverde Polin said that an attendance of 20 thousand people from all over Guanajuato, the country and the world is expected, visitors will generate an economic benefit of 5 million 963 thousand pesos.
In this edition, visitors will remember the trajectory of “El Rey” through a musical program that will begin:
- November 18 with a show by the singer Reyli Barba
- November 19, attendees will be able to enjoy the music of Majo Aguilar, Valente Pastor, Maria Elena Leal and Alberto Angel “El Cuervo”
- November 20, the Lirio Band, the Mariachi “Los Gavilanes”, Jose Alfredo and Lorenzo Mendez will perform in concert
Visitors will enjoy activities such as:
- Serenades, bohemians and cantina tours; of a cultural and gastronomic program; and they will be able to visit the vineyards and the variety of tourist attractions of the Magical Town
Also present at the press conference were, Maria Elena Leal Beltran, daughter of Lola Beltran; the tenor Alberto Angel “El Cuervo”; Jose Alfredo Jimenez Ugalde, grandson of “El Rey”; and the singer Lorenzo Mendez.
