From June 13 until December, Guanajuatenses and tourists are invited to visit Parque Guanajuato Bicentenario -PGB- and appreciate “Identities”, a cultural exhibit that brings together the talent of 17 artists.
The Secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato in support of the Guanajuato Bicentennial Park and the Atelier Monte Leon Collective promotes this cultural event, a segment that motivated more than 7 million tourists to visit the State during the year 2022, said Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, Secretary of Tourism.
In this exhibit, visitors will learn about the feelings and thoughts of the Guanajuatense artists:
- Aida Aguirre. Alan Villanueva, Alanis Marcie, Ariel Dias, Claudia Andrea, Cuca Fernandez, Desacia, Dirse Tovar, Iliana Arellano, Ity Garcia, Juan Castro, Mario Castro, Mich Soriano, Monica Jimenez, Oscar Lopez, Paloma Guzman and Julio “Pato” Gomez
An exploration through their own narratives in contrast to their nostalgia and joy will be presented.
The exhibit, of these artists well known for their work and multi-awarded both in Mexico and abroad, consists of an art gallery of 60 works of painting, photography and sculpture. Visitors will be able to appreciate these plastic arts and, if they wish, they will be able to buy them.
“The expressions exalt the great cultural heritage that we have and in Guanajuato we have great artists,” said Ma. Adriana Camarena de Obeso, General Director of the State Institute of Culture.
Parque Guanajuato Bicentenario is a space that promotes culture in all its facets “and we are very proud to establish this synergy with great artists from Guanajuato,” added Veronica Agundiz Estrada, general director of PGB.
