In an event that materializes the People’s Government’s commitment to a people-centered public policy, the Secretary of the New Beginning and the Secretary of Security and Peace signed a collaboration agreement to implement the “Yo Puedo, Guanajuato Puede” program.

The “Yo Puedo, Guanajuato Puede” program places the individual at the center of development, promoting skills, values, and life projects through self-management, integration, and social commitment. This humanistic vision seeks to redefine family and community life, building environments of peace, dignity, and opportunity.

For adolescents in conflict with the law, the signed agreement will provide psychoeducational support, training in values, and guided activities that foster self-awareness, emotional empowerment, and hope for a different future. The work will be coordinated between promotional staff from the New Beginning Secretary and technical liaisons from the General Directory of Social Reintegration for Adolescents.
“Working as a team, combining capabilities, and building support networks is the only way to transform realities. Today more than ever, we believe it can be done. Yes, they can do it, yes, Guanajuato can do it,” said Rosario Corona Amador, head of the Secretary for the New Beginning.
Juan Mauro Gonzalez Martinez, head of the Secretary of Security and Peace, reiterated that education and human development are key pillars for providing second chances and preventing new crimes, emphasizing that this agreement aligns with the State’s policy on restorative reintegration.

This action is part of a broader strategy in which the Secretary for the New Beginning has formalized 48 collaboration agreements with institutions such as IECA, SABES, CECyTE, ITESA, municipalities, and, especially, urban and rural communities, to bring tools for human development to all people, regardless of their context.
