“Let the young people of Guanajuato propose innovations and technology, that they dare to improve Japanese vehicles; in the future we are going to be the Mindfacture Valley of this country and we will be the largest innovation center”, said the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, at the celebration for the Tenth Anniversary of Honda’s Celaya plant.
Rodriguez Vallejo thanked Honda for its trust in Guanajuato, by generating opportunities, realizing dreams and meeting goals, “it is an achievement of Guanajuato and Mexico.”
He said that Honda’s stay in Celaya has not been easy and the company has remained standing facing floods and the pandemic, and even so, its human capital shows the world that things are well done in Guanajuato.
“I feel very happy to witness these ten years of the Honda plant in Celaya; Guanajuato is a hotbed of great talents, the most valuable thing is its people and that makes Guanajuato’s automotive plants the most productive of its companies,” said the Governor.
The President of Honda of Mexico, Dai Fujikawa, said that the company he directs seeks to provide its customers with quality products, and for this reason they have been recognized, but these distinctions are thanks to the dedication of its associates who achieve quality. in their work.
“We should be proud of our success and we will continue to do so, to ensure we continue to grow in the coming years, because the future of Honda Celaya is bright,” said the Governor.
The first stone of the Honda plant in Celaya was laid in March 2012 and after an investment of more than 800 million dollars, the plant was inaugurated on February 21, 2014 for the assembly of cars and engines.
