The Guanajuato Health System is calling on Guanajuatenses to identify anxiety in their relatives, friends and acquaintances and report the cases they identify or go to the attention centers and be diagnosed.
The head of the Health System, Dr. Daniel Diaz explained that anxiety can be understood as a generalized state of anguish, restlessness, fear and oppression, where the causes are often not known to those who experience them.
Also, said Diaz, anxiety entails a series of physiological manifestations, such as altered heart and respiratory rhythm, sweating, muscle stiffness, a feeling of instability and dizziness.
It is important to identify the symptoms of anxiety:
Emotional symptoms:
- Concern and apprehension
- Restlessness
- Sleeping problems
- Difficulty to concentrate
- Irritability
- Sadness
- Feeling of pressure and being rushed
Physical symptoms include:
- Changes in heart rate
- Tension in the head or neck
- Headache
- Nausea or diarrea
- Sweating
- Dry mouth
