Alejandra Gutierrez, Mayor of Leon, presided over the 446 Anniversary ceremony of the founding of Leon.

The event was held at the Plaza de los Fundadores in downtown Leon, next to the Main Square and some meters from the City Hall.

In the event Ale Gutierrez called Leoneses to be part of the development and growth of the City and to participate in actions to improve their community and every leonese’s well being.

Gutierrez also asked Leoneses to “keep in mind the history of hard work and defense of freedom of Leoneses and to keep working hard to maintain this City a booming Municipality in Mexico”.

Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo was in the ceremony, and congratulated Leoneses for this anniversary.

Leoneses celebrate today 446 years of the founding of their City.
