The State of Guanajuato will be consolidated as the country’s railway epicenter with the Bajio Logistic Gate, a project that was formalized by Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
“This is the new public-private partnership model, with which the Government will be able to have more income and a great possibility of an urban mobility project, like in no other municipality in the country,” said the Governor.
This day the public-private partnership that will develop the Bajio Logistic Gate project in Celaya was formalized.
This agreement was signed by Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, Governor of Guanajuato and as werll as representatives of the Azvi Group, partner in the development of the project; Alvaro Jimenez Gil, Director of the Azvi Group; and Alfonso Gudino Carbonero, CEO of Grupo Azvi.
Also participating were Ramon Alfaro Gomez, Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development; Hector Lopez Santillana, General Director of the Guanajuato Interior Port; and Javier Mendoza Marquez, Mayor of Celaya.
The first stage of the Bajio Logistics Gate will be built on an area of 51 hectares south of Celaya, near the Honda Plant, where the Railway Bypass will cross.
This project will bring some benefits, like promoting the economic development of the region and the country; it will facilitate international trade and give the country a competitive advantage; it will also take advantage of land infrastructure, such as federal highways 45 and 57, industrial corridors and confluence of railroads -Ferromex and Kansas City Southern de México-.
“Not only does it represent the opportunity to attract more investments and generate a true logistics center in the country, it also represents for Guanajuato the possibility of demonstrating that you can invest in projects like this, both Government and private initiative, and have an income; thus, whatever profits come out of it will be for the people of Guanajuato, to build hospitals, roads and other benefits for citizens”, said the Governor.
“We capitalized on this model with the signing of this agreement and this will allow Guanajuato to put the land as an investor,” said Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Bajio Logistics Gate will reduce logistics costs, improve local and regional infrastructure and generate jobs.
AZVI is a family business, its origins date back to the end of the 19th century. Its background is closely linked to the history and development of the railway and railway infrastructure in Spain.
