With engineering, talent, and teamwork, the Superior Technologic Institute of Irapuato (ITESI) was crowned champion of the 2025 E-Championship “Arjessiger Trophy,” held this weekend at the Leon Racetrack.
The “Buhos ITESI” team took first place after successfully completing the technical tests and endurance heats with their electric kart, demonstrating that student leadership in electromobility has the seal of Guanajuato.
The competition, which brings together higher education institutions from across the country, included static safety, technical inspection, and weight tests, as well as two 40-minute dynamic races that evaluated the performance and energy efficiency of the Electraton America electric vehicles.
Guanajuato shone brightly, also securing a podium finish for the E UPG Motors team from the Polytechnic University of Guanajuato (UPG), with a solid second place. Third place went to Dzec UNAM FI.
In addition to ITESI and UPG, the teams from UPPE (Penjamo), UPJR (Juventino Rosas), and ITESA (Abasolo) also participated with great performances, consolidating the presence of Guanajuato talent in a competition that promotes innovation from the classroom to the track.
This achievement was made possible thanks to the support of the Secretary of Education of Guanajuato, the Department of Economy, and the Guanajuato Automotive Cluster, which promoted this initiative in support of technical training, sustainability, and youth technological entrepreneurship.
The E-Championship represents a space where learning is transformed into real solutions for sustainable mobility, and where students demonstrate that, in Guanajuato, knowledge becomes action.
This championship, driven locally with a national vision, represents a model of applied education innovation, where learning transcends the classroom to become real solutions for sustainable mobility.
With this result, Guanajuato reaffirms its commitment to developing specialized talent capable of responding to global challenges through engineering, technology, and sustainability.
