More than 2,000 school authorities in the North region of Guanajuato strengthen legal and preventive issues
SEG exceeds goal in training actions for teachers

As part of a state strategy of the Secretary of Education of Guanajuato to provide teaching staff with a wide range of tools to improve the performance of their function, the Regional Delegation I trained 2,206 education authorities in legal issues and promotion of safe coexistence.
Martín Rodríguez Palacios, head of the Legal Unit in region I, commented that the regional goal planned for the months of August to December was exceeded, “we ended the year with 30 percent more trained personnel; I am proud that in addition to guiding directors, assistant directors, teachers, supervisors and sector heads, we are training fellow mayors, secretaries and Pedagogical Technical Advisors, ATP”.
The trainings carried out address topics such as the Rights and Obligations of Education Workers, and the Protocols for the detection, prevention and action of cases of school violence, to provide support tools, awareness and attention in terms of school coexistence, regulations, prevention and attention to cases of conflict and violence.
Participating in these training actions are staff from the school community of:
- Preschools, primary and secondary schools, from the public and private sectors
The trained personnel provides education attention to children and young people from:
- San Diego de la Union, Dolores Hidalgo, San Miguel de Allende, Ocampo and San Felipe
The trainings offer a support network made up of human capital with training in psychology, social work and law from the Regional Delegation of Education I; with the objective of guiding and accompanying educational personnel in situations that can be considered risky, in addition to seeking that the participants recognize themselves as social transformers and strengthen their role through the development of socio-emotional skills.
With these actions, the SEG recognizes the teaching work for the implementation of actions and meetings of educational leaders to strengthen their work and contribute to the objectives set out in the Social Pact for Education and the strategy of Guanajuato, Contigo Sí.
