During Holy Week and Easter holidays, Guanajuato expects to receive more than 1 million 168 thousand visitors and an economic benefit of more than 2 thousand 755 million pesos.
According to the Tourism Observatory of the State of Guanajuato -OTEG-, in charge of the Ministry of Tourism, it predicts that, from Friday, March 22 to Sunday, April 7, 2024, the State expects the arrival of more than 240 thousand tourists to 1 to 5 star hotels, with an average occupancy of 36%.
Recently, Guanajuato unveiled to tourism its first Magical Neighborhood:
- Mineral de la Luz
Besides, Guanajuato has six Magical Towns:
- Dolores Hidalgo CIN
- Jalpa de Canovas
- Mineral de Pozos
- Salvatierra
- Yuriria
- Comonfort, the State offers travelers traditions, architecture, gastronomy, adventure tourism and nature
OTEG indicates that during the Easter holidays, more than 719 thousand visitors and more than 148 thousand tourists will come to Guanajuato and they will leave an economic benefit of 1,691 million pesos. While during Easter Week more than 448 thousand visitors and more than 92 thousand tourists will come to Guanajuato, leaving an economic benefit of more than 1,064 million pesos.

- The World Heritage Cities: Guanajuato Capital and San Miguel de Allende
- Leon, all are the three main tourist destinations
These destinations are ready:
- Guanajuato City will present an occupancy of 41% with a tourist arrival of 46 thousand people, and will receive more than 125 thousand visitors
- The arrival of tourists in San Miguel de Allende will be close to 41 thousand tourists with an occupancy percentage of 48%, and more than 119 thousand visitors
- Leon will register an occupancy of 38% with the arrival of more than 63 thousand tourists, and more than 251 thousand visitors are expected
This holiday season Guanajuato also invites families to discover the five Archaeological Zones:
- El Coporo, in Ocampo
- Canada de la Virgen, in San Miguel de Allende
- Plazuelas, in Penjamo
- Peralta, in Abasolo
- Arroyo Seco, in Victoria, all reveal the settlement of great Mesoamerican cultures
