In Mexico, there is a State that is breaking the mold by understanding that foreign trade is not only a means of economic growth, but also a tool to close social gaps.

That State is Guanajuato, where the State Government, through COFOCE, is promoting an unprecedented model that puts global trade at the service of the people.

COFOCE -the only institution of its kind in Mexico dedicated exclusively to connect local businesses with international buyers- is demonstrating that global trade can be put at the service of people. Its approach not only opens markets but also opportunities that change lives and strengthens the social fabric.

This momentum isn’t just mere rhetoric. In the first half of 2025, COFOCE achieved:

• 371 companies were supported, 87% of them are SMEs reaffirming a strategy focused on productive inclusion
• 68 new companies have joined the export ecosystem, consolidating a growth dynamic with a local presence
• More than 1,000 people have been trained in key tools such as foreign trade, the USMCA, new economic conditions, and internationalization strategies
• Active presence in 26 municipalities beyond the industrial corridor, ensuring that opportunities reach every corner of the State
• More than 100 local companies linked with 30 international buyers, generating sales projections of more than US$1.8 million and strengthening local economies

These achievements are not just reflected in numbers. They represent dreams fulfilled, jobs created, and communities empowered. The Guanajuato model demonstrates that foreign trade can and should be a tool for social inclusion.

In Guanajuato, foreign trade is not a privilege for a select few. It’s a public policy with a human face, a commitment to shared prosperity.

This approach is paving a clear path for other States across Mexico seeking a more open, inclusive economy with real social impact.
