The XXVIII National Congress of the Meetings Industry (CNIR) 2022is held in Cancun, Quintana Roo, with the participation of the Secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato and representatives of the Meeting Industry of Guanajuato City, San Miguel de Allende, Irapuato and Celaya.
This event, which takes place from August 10 to 12, is organized by the Mexican Council of the Meetings Industry and is aimed at meeting planners, meeting destinations, the Convention and Visitors Bureau, Tourism Secretaries, travel agents and national means of communication, contributing to their professionalization and competitiveness.
Through the Coordination of Attention to Specialized Segments, SECTUR works hand in hand with the industry of the MICE segment to continue positioning Guanajuato that today is the 5th. national destination in Meetings Tourism and achieve new links with buyers, as well as attract events of national and international stature in the more than 83 thousand square meters of exhibition floor in Guanajuato venues.
For Guanajuato it is important to participate in this type of events that promote the continuous improvement of MICE destinations and the more than 300 service providers that are dedicated to this segment.
In order to continue with the training and professionalization of State service providers, this afternoon the SECTUR participated in the “1st. COMIR Public Policy Forum”, which consisted of generating the lines of action and optimal conditions to take advantage of the potential that Mexico has and be considered as one of the 5 most important venues in the generation and attraction of congresses, conventions, incentives and exhibitions.
This Thursday Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, Secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato and Bernd Rohde Oberheide, director of Hannover Messe; the Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development and the Municipality of Leon, will participate in the “Hannover Panel, as a success story”.
In addition, SECTUR will offer CNIR attendees a Guanajuato-style meal, highlighting the most representative elements of State’s meeting destinations and they will also work on networking.
