As part of the Mexico Aerospace Fair (FAMEX) 2025, the most important event in the sector in Latin America, Guanajuato reaffirms its leadership and commitment to economic diversification and technological development with high-added-value.
Through the Guanajuato Pavilion, the State participates in this international forum, reaffirming its role as a driving force of aerospace development and its commitment to an economy based on knowledge, talent, and innovation.
Representing Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the Undersecretary of Attraction of Investment of the Ministry of Economy, Alejandro Hernandez Fonseca, noted the progress Guanajuato has made in the aerospace sector, underscoring the strategic drive of this administration to consolidate the State as a highly technological ecosystem.
Hernandez Fonseca described one of the country’s greatest achievements: the Halcon 2, the first 100% Mexican-designed, manufactured, and assembled aircraft, developed in Guanajuato by Horizontec. This aircraft represents local talent and the long-term vision driving the technological transformation of Guanajuato.
The Bajio Aerospace Cluster is one of the five most important in Mexico, with 18 member companies, generating specialized jobs and strengthening local production chains.
The Undersecretary emphasized that this “cluster demonstrates the ability of Guanajuato to attract new businesses, establish companies, and generate formal, well-paying jobs, which translate into a better quality of life for the people of Guanajuato.”
Guanajuato’s presence at FAMEX demonstrates its commitment to technological development and reinforces its role in Mexico’s aerospace revolution. Thanks to its industrial infrastructure, strategic location, education relevance, and human talent, Guanajuato becomes a reliable investment partner.
“Guanajuato is already a benchmark in the automotive and agroindustrial industries. Today, we are committed to sectors like aerospace because we know they represent the future of the economy and specialized employment,” the Undersecretary said.
The People’s Government, through the Ministry of Economy, reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the aerospace sector, promoting alliances with key players such as the Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA), the Mexican Air Force, and private industry.
Guanajuato, said the Official, will continue to position itself as a national benchmark in innovation and talent development, contributing to Mexico’s economic growth in the aeronautical industry.
