Guanajuato continues to consolidate its position as a national benchmark in innovation, technological development, and advanced manufacturing by hosting, for the first time, Expo Wiretech, the most important trade show in the electrical harnesses, electronics, and industrial automation sector.
On behalf of Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the Undersecretary of Investment Attraction, Alejandro Hernandez Fonseca, noted that Guanajuato is a key player in the global supply chain of electrical harnesses, essential components for the automotive, aeronautical, and electronics industries.
Hernandez also highlighted that the current State Administration is promoting public policies aimed at economic diversification, the acceleration of local businesses, and attracting investments with greater technological content, which contributes to the creation and preservation of formal, quality jobs.
In this context, he said that Guanajuato has 12 strategic clusters that foster cross-sector collaboration to strengthen the State’s competitiveness. This Prosperity Ecosystems strategy not only increases business competitiveness but also opens up new business opportunities through cooperation in key areas such as supplier development, technology and innovation, and marketing, thus boosting regional economic growth in a comprehensive manner.
Expo Wiretech 2025 brings together 130 exhibitors and visitors from 16 countries, offering cutting-edge technologies including X-ray inspection systems, electronic cards, mechatronic devices, as well as solutions in automation, robotics, and industrial connectivity.
This event constitutes a key platform for strengthening ties between industry, academia, and government, fostering strategic alliances, and promoting investment in a sector that is fundamental for the State’s economy.
Currently, Guanajuato is home to more than 50 companies dedicated to the manufacture of electrical harnesses and electronic components, positioning it as one of Mexico’s main industrial hubs and the second-largest exporter of harnesses worldwide.
