Guanajuato hosts the 1st Forum of Digital Economy European Union-Guanajuato, Mexico as an initiative organized by the Delegation of the European Union in Mexico, that has IDEAGTO collaborating.
This Forum started on November 9th and the Governor of Guanajuato Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo was present, as well as the European Union Ambassador, Gautier Mignout.
Resilient and visionary
“Today we are talking about the newest topics in technology, establishing a bridge between the countries to have a dialogue on common interests, we want to have resilient and visionary companies, that live a constant learning, that come closer to technology and that are on their way to have links with companies from other countries”, said Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor also said that the digital economy is the axis of today’s economy and that technology creates value, attractive products and services for people and invited all to adopt it but with a humanistic sense, so that its products and services help improve our environment.
A great investment plan
The Ambassador of the European Union in Mexico, Gautier Mignout, said that in 2020 the EU launched the greatest investment plan in history, called “Next European Generation” with 750 thousand million Euros aiming to accelerate 2 great political priorities:
- The Green transition
- The Digital Transition
Development, open societies and democracy
“Digital solutions that create opportunities for people, will also give new opportunities to companies, promoting the development of technologies, promoting open societies and democracy, they will make a dynamic, sustainable enonomy and will make it possible to combat the climate change”, said Mignout.
Activities at the Forum:
- 8 Webinars/seminars starting November 9th and the last will be on December 2nd on specific topics of interest for Mexico and EU like:
- Digitalization and industry 4.0
- Digital innovation hubs
- Fintech
- Artificial Intelligence
- 10 days for B2B sessions from January 31st to February 10th 2022 between Mexican and Community companies
