Governor Diego Sinhue welcomes 144 resident doctors who are now starting their specialty in State public hospitals

Guanajuato confirms that it has the best public health system in Mexico, with a medical staff made up of health professionals, doctors with the best academic preparation and a leadership with human sense.
Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, endorsed his support for the Guanajuato Health System, by leading the closing ceremony and welcoming the medical specialization courses.
In this event, he recognized the doctors who finished their training as specialists and sub-specialists in the hospitals that are the headquarters of the State Health Secretary.
“It is an honor for me to participate in this closing and welcoming ceremony for the medical specialties courses. I want to congratulate the 54 doctors who have finished their specialty in the teaching hospitals of our Institute of Public Health of the State of Guanajuato, our gratitude for their commitment to care for and protect the health of Guanajuato families”, said the Governor.
“Today we also welcome the 144 resident doctors who are starting their specialty today. We serve 3.7 million people with the highest level of quality and safety, with well-equipped hospitals and medicines. As of today, Guanajuato is recognized as one of the best training centers for professionals in the health sector in Mexico”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
54 specialists graduated and 144 residents were admitted to the following specialties:
- Anesthesiology, General Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Internal Medicine, Neonatology, Pediatrics, Radiodiagnosis, Traumatology and Orthopedics, Critical Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Maxillofacial Surgery, Quality of clinical care and Psychiatry
The ISAPEG Headquarters Hospitals that receive new residents are the General Hospitals of Leon, Celaya and Irapuato; in addition to the Pediatric Hospital of Leon, Maternal and Child Hospital of Leon and the Center for Integral Attention to Mental Health of Leon -CAISAME-.
The State of Guanajuato, through the different institutions of the Health Sector, trains medical specialists, in authorized specialty courses, given the need for the development of human capital for specialized medical care, oriented towards the management of epidemiological problems, as well as to attention to health risks as a substantive factor for the development of services.
