With a new investment of 225 million dollars for the expansion of the Bosch Mexico company, Guanajuato exceeds the six-year foreign investment goal of 5 billion dollars.
Directors of the German company, announced to the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, the expansion of its plant in Apaseo El Grande that will generate 1,500 direct jobs, in addition to the 425 that are currently available.
“They are, without a doubt, great news for Guanajuato families; this is a very important announcement for us, because the generation of jobs means well-being and progress for the families of our state.
“With this Bosch announcement, we are surpassing the six-year goal of attracting investments for 5 billion dollars of foreign investment and we still have two years left in government to continue breaking records,” said the Governor.
Guanajuato is consolidated as the epicenter of Industry 4.0 and Mindfacture in Mexico and Latin America, since automotive components for electromobility will be manufactured with electronic modules, driving assistance, and dashboards, informed the Governor.
This production will go to the markets of Mexico, the United States and Asia.
In Guanajuato there are just over 500 world-class companies, said the Governor, and that is a sign of how much invertors trust in Guanajuato, regarding public policies and the efficiency of the workforce.
“We continue advancing in this purpose of building a better present and future for the people of Guanajuato”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
“I thank the investors and executives of Bosch for their trusting in Guanajuato, this new expansion of such an important company is a clear message that the Guanajuato brand continues to trade well in international markets, because here we offer certainty, trust, direction and transparency”, said the Governor.
The President of Bosch Mexico, Rene Shlegel, said that one billion euros have been accumulated between expansions and new plants in Mexico, and that Guanajuato is very important for them due to its geographical location, its logistics and above all, for the high quality of qualified personnel for the automated operation of its production plants.
“With this expansion we want to serve our customers in America efficiently and quickly. I want to thank the excellent collaboration that we found in Guanajuato to receive our investments”, said Shlegel.
“We are trying to reach the future and in Guanajuato we will double our expansion in Celaya and triple the production volume, in addition to quadrupling the number of employees with 1,500 new job opportunities,” said the Official.
