“The State of Guanajuato will enter into the hydrogen-based electromobility strategy of the Japanese company Toyota”, said Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor visited the Ecoful Town Plant of the Toyota automotive company and said that in Guanajuato we are proud to host a company committed to the environment and sustainable development goals.
“Today we are at Toyota’s Ecoful Town Plant, which is a business model for environmental care”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
“The Toyota plant in Guanajuato was designed and built with advanced technology to reduce the use of energy and water in its processes. Many thanks to Toyota for its commitment to the Environment in our State of Guanajuato”, said Governor Rodriguez Vallejo.
During this visit it was announced that the electric hybrid Tacoma pickup will be manufactured at the Toyota Plant in San Jose Iturbide, Guanajuato.
Luis Lozano Olivares, President of Toyota Motors de México, highlighted that in Guanajuato they have made progress in meeting environmental objectives, by having solar panels and the reuse of 90 percent of water in industrial processes.
“Our environmental challenge has the objective of reducing CO2 emissions by the year 2050 and I am very happy to announce that at our Toyota Plant in Guanajuato we will begin to build the electric hybrid Tacoma, which allows Guanajuato to be within the electromobility strategy total of Toyota Global”, said the Toyota executive.
