Guanajuato City and San Miguel de Allende, World Heritage Cities of the State of Guanajuato, are nominated for the Condé Nast Readers Choice Awards 2023.
The Secretary of Tourism of the State of Guanajuato, led by Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, congratulates Guanajuato City and San Miguel de Allende, both cities recognized for their historical heritage, architecture, natural wealth and cultural background.
Since 1987, the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler 2023 magazine has called on its readers to vote -under the survey scheme- for their favorite destinations, as well as hotels, resorts, islands, cruise ships, airlines and airports. More than 600,000 readers around the world are part year after year in the survey, leaving tens of thousands of comments.
In its 36th edition, the magazine -in the Cities category- tells its readers to -think about the last time they were in:
- Guanajuato
- San Miguel de Allende
Rate it as:
- Bad, regular, fair, good or outstanding
What you are asked to rate:
- Places of interest and landscapes , Arts and culture, Local cuisine/dining options, Friendliness, Transportation (how easy it is to get around by car, bus, taxi, bike, train), shopping, outdoor activities, accessibility, hotels and resort

Condé Nast Traveles made a description of both cities highlighting the following:
