The Secretary of Education of Guanajuato -SEG-, Jorge Enrique Hernandez Meza and the head of the Secretary of Education of the State of Queretaro -SEDEQ-, Martha Elena Soto Obregon, signed a letter intention to share strategies aimed at strengthening students and promoting school permanence.
During the protocol ceremony, the head of the SEG, Jorge Enrique Hernandez, pointed out that Guanajuato will facilitate the SEDEQ in using the basic elements of the Early Action System for School Permanence -SATPE- for the development of its platform.
“What they are doing in their early childhood microsite and student mobility is of great value to us. We can also contribute our experience, we are carrying out activities, for example, in aeronautical matters we developed the Halcon 2 aircraft in Celaya. We also promote learning in robotics through robot battle competitions and we want to invite Queretaro to come in September, with their teams,” said Hernandez.
Soto Obregon said that, as part of the bilateral collaboration, SEDEQ will provide Guanajuato with the thematic content of the Queretaro Early Childhood Microsite.
“There is a commitment to boost education in both States. We recognize the mutual interest in carrying out this type of collaborative activities for the benefit of education and in establishing mechanisms that contribute to the development and strengthening of academic and school activities,” said Soto.
The officials exchanged experiences in technology, robotics, and in the automotive and aeronautics areas. The head of the SEDEQ explained the actions that Queretaro carries out to awaken interest in both children and young people in areas of science, technology, mathematics, engineering -STEM- as well as robotics activities.
Both Officials agreed that for students there are no borders. For both Guanajuato and Queretaro, one of the objectives is to facilitate student mobility.
