Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo participated in the meeting of the National Public Security Council, where she acknowledged the progress Guanajuato has made thanks to the coordinated work with the Federation.
“I appreciate and recognize the coordinated work we have been doing with the Federation on the issue of security in Guanajuato,” said the Guanajuatense Governor.
Libia thanked the President of Mexico and the entire Federal Security Cabinet for their will to work with coordinated actions that have resulted in a 60 percent decrease in intentional homicides in Guanajuato.
“Thanks to our collaborative work, we have experienced a 60 percent decrease in intentional homicides, and we are working towards more, President, to continue contributing to peace in the country,” said Libia Dennise.
“We’ve achieved a synergy of trust and very professional work, which is allowing us to achieve results today. My appreciation and my full willingness to continue working as a team,” said Libia Dennise.
The Governor of the People said that, as a result of the coordinated intelligence work between State Authorities, the Federation, and Municipalities in Guanajuato, positive results can be achieved, with actions that can be replicated throughout the country.
“Today we are seeing that with committed and coordinated work, based on intelligence, positive results can be achieved for the population,” noted Libia.
Participants presented the National Agreement for the Search for Missing Persons which aims to increase institutional and forensic management capacities for the investigation and search for missing persons.
Also presented was the National Agreement for the harmonious integration of local legislation with the General Law of the National Public Security System and the General Law on Enforced Disappearances of Persons, Disappearances Committed by Individuals, and the National System for the Search for Persons.
The meeting of the National Public Security Council was held at the National Palace and was chaired by the President of Mexico, also participating were the heads of the Federal Security Cabinet and the Governors.
