With the purpose of promoting analytical thinking and the development of scientific skills among basic education students, the Guanajuato Education Secretary (SEG) held the III State Science Contest, which was attended by one thousand five hundred primary and secondary school students from different regions of Guanajuato.

The purpose of this competition is to identify, recognize, and strengthen the talents of girls, boys, and adolescents with outstanding abilities in the areas of the natural and exact sciences, specifically chemistry, biology, and physics. The competition was conducted online through an assessment designed for each grade level, in which participants applied their theoretical knowledge and solved scientific problems. Prior to the assessment, counseling sessions were offered by educational level to reinforce key topics in the curriculum.

In this third edition, there were outstanding winners in the elementary school category and in the secondary school category.

The winners will receive a diploma and a medal in recognition of their effort and will have the honor to represent Guanajuato at the 2025 VNJS International Olympiad, which will be held online on May 30.
This competition, formerly known as Vanda Science National, brings together students from around the world.

The Guanajuato Department of Education reaffirms its commitment to foster interest in science and knowledge in the classroom, promoting the development of academic talent, and providing students with opportunities to advance their careers nationally and internationally.
