Governor of Guanajuato recognizes the 200 Guanajuatense athletes who participated in this competition, where 10 medals were obtained in this edition

Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, led the presentation of recognition to the members of the Delegation that represented Guanajuato in the National Games of Higher Secondary Education -ONADEMS-.

“Our congratulations to the 200 athletes from our higher secondary education subsystems who participated in this competition. You have raised the name of Guanajuato very highly, being one of the delegations that participated in all sports and branches of the national competition”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.

“You have achieved a historic 5th place and won 10 medals, four gold, two silver and four bronze. Our congratulations to the medal winners and to the two basketball players who were designated as the best players in the competition,” highlighted the Governor.

Rodriguez Vallejo invited these athletes to continue being an example for the girls, boys and young people of Guanajuato. Be bearers of a message of hope and everything that can be achieved when there is a goal and you strive until you reach it.

“You are an example that with perseverance, discipline, responsibility and will you can write a success story. Guanajuato and Mexico need more achievers like you. Don’t give up on your dreams”, the Governor said.

The objective of these games is to promote and develop the practice of sports among students in the schools of the National Education System. In this XXI edition, more than 4 thousand students and their coaches participated.

The Guanajuato Delegation participated in 10 disciplines:

  • Chess, Athletics, 3×3 Basketball, 5×5 Basketball, Handball, Baseball, Soccer, Softball, Beach Volleyball, and Indoor Volleyball
