In this State Administration, more than 6 thousand GTO Brand badges have been delivered, the goal established for 2023 has been exceeded, with the certification of 1,060 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises -MSMEs-.
Increasing the competitiveness of local companies is one of the priorities of the economic policy of Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo for the growth and development of Guanajuato by adding value to traditional sectors.
Ramon Alfaro Gomez, head of the Secretariat of Sustainable Economic Development -SDES-, said that this program strengthens and improves the internal market, which allows Guanajuato businessmen to keep their jobs.
Privileging local consumption to strengthen the internal market of Guanajuato is one of the main strategies of the present state administration; Guanajuato products and services have positioned themselves nationally and internationally for their great quality and variety.
Alfaro Gomez explained that the objective is to generate a virtuous circle in which the economic flow and wealth stays and circulates in Guanajuato so that companies can consolidate and continue growing for an economic recovery.
In addition to the economic benefit, promoting local consumption creates a more sustainable internal market, stimulates trade, and allows the conservation of traditions, pride, and Guanajuato identity.
