Governor inaugurates Agro-Food Expo

Guanajuato is the neural center of the growth of the agro-food sector, where the actors who set the course and its comprehensive sustainable development come together

For four days, 120 thousand attendees are expected, among which are Agro-Food Production Units, world leaders, as well as national and international suppliers and marketers

“The Guanajuato farm sector is one of our economic pillars, because the agrobusiness is the second source of our exports and also of the Gross Domestic Product of Guanajuato”, said the Governo of Guanajuato Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, at the inauguration of the Agro-Food Expo 2023 in its XXVIII edition.

This event once again places Guanajuato as the neural center of the growth of the agro-food sector, where the most important actors who set the course of the sector and its comprehensive and sustainable development come together. Its focus is the B2B business meeting between all its participants.

During four days of the event, organizers expect the presence of 120 thousand attendees, among which are Agro-Food Production Units, world leaders, as well as national and international suppliers and marketers. More than 650 exhibitors, 50 international conferences and pavilions.

This event presents in its 62 hectare venue, a sample of the entire agro-food sector; exposing its experimental field with high-tech greenhouses and demonstration plots, as well as the main technological innovations, indoor and outdoor exhibition areas, making a complete and unique event.

In this 2023 edition, the support from the State Government is 15.2 million pesos.

As a token of gratitude for the support to the sector and the organization of the Agro-Food Expo, Piero Zaratinni Aceves, President of the Board of Trustees for Agricultural Development of Guanajuato, recognized the contriburtion of Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, whom he thanked for his support throughout of the State Administration.

The Agro-Food Expo Guanajuato is an international agro-business platform, held since 1996 and throughout its continuous editions, it has had the presence of more than 52 countries.

“For me this is the most important agro-industrial fair on the entire continent, it is the most important Agro-Food Expo. The most powerful weapon that Guanajuato has is the continuity of long-term plans, that is not seen in other states,” said the Governor.
