“The word comes true and here we are seeing the results,” said the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, when reaffirming his commitment to the Ludovicense population with a work tour in which he started and delivered road infrastructure works and support for rural producers.
“You are not alone, in San Luis de la Paz, you count on us,” said the Governor as he delivered the second stage of paving of the access road to the town of El Bozo.
This is the section of the San Luis de la Paz-Chupaderos highway to the existing pavement towards the El Bozo community, which will promote the social and economic development of the community.
Also in El Bozo, the Governor provided support from the Temporary Employment program, ‘Let’s Work Together’, from the SecretarY of Social and Human Development –SEDESHU-.
The Governor laid the first stone of the Padre Pio Shelter, where relatives of the patients admitted to the San Luis de la Paz Maternal Hospital can stay.
This hospital is located 8 kilometers from the City of San Luis de La Paz and serves the population of the northern and northeastern region of the State, which covers the municipalities of Xichu, Victoria, San Diego, San Felipe, Dr. Mora, among other.
The Governor said that due to the distance from the hospital, it is difficult for relatives or patients to go and come home promptly to see their relatives, and this shelter will offer them food, bedrooms and personal hygiene, but above all, it will help new mothers to be close to their babies when they are hospitalized.
The shelter will serve some 6,000 to 7,000 people a year.
Rodríguez Vallejo led the delivery of support for the ‘My Productive and Sustainable Family’ program.
This program, from the Agro-Food and Rural Development Secretary –SDAyR-, seeks to increase the availability and access to food for production units of the agro-food sector in rural areas to strengthen food availability.
Support was also delivered from the ‘Sustainable Reconversion of Agriculture’ 2023 program; this program promotes a better income for agro-food producers.
In addition 9 producers received 12,500 maguey plants to be planted in 10 hectares; the total investment was 212,500 pesos.
In Mineral de Pozos, the Governor of Guanajuato delivered the paving of streets and supervised urban infrastructure works, to contribute to the preservation of this Magical Town, where 32.5 million pesos were invested between the Municipality and the State, through the Secretary of Tourism.
On San Luis Street, the State invested 10 million pesos to install ball stone pavement, sidewalks, garnishes, sewage and home connection.
The Governor also supervised the paving work on the First Street of Guadalupe, in the section of State Highway 46 to La Vía Street, where more than 3.8 million pesos were invested.
He also supervised the work of the 6th stage of restoration of the “Antiguo Abasto” Cultural Forum, where more than 2.5 million pesos were invested.
The Governor said that Pozos is a town that requires more works and “we have to unite, ally, to give life to these buildings, then the investments will occur and we will have a great place.”
Later, the Governor delivered the paving works on Progreso Street, in the Luz de la Esquina community, and fulfilled his personal commitment to pave this road.
In Paso Colorado, the Governor delivered the paving of Virgen María Street, where the State invested 3.4 million pesos, for the benefit of 53 families that live in the area and visited the construction of the Santa María de la Paz Monastery, a center of important worship for the inhabitants of the area.
The Governor said that in the coming years this region will grow as an industrial zone due to its natural resources, energy sources, railway and highway infrastructure and human capital.
“I predict that with ‘nearshoring’, the area that will grow will be between San Luis de La Paz and San José Iturbide; Big companies will come to this area; there is enough land and space to generate clean energy”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
