“For the State Government there is nothing more important than your children, the girls and boys of Guanajuato; that is why we bet on education, which begins with having a birth certificate”, said the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor was at the start of the “GTO Contigo y Tu Bebe” Program, where he delivered kits with personal hygiene supplies for the care of the baby during its first year of life.
“As parents it is an enormous responsibility, because the child depends one hundred percent on parents and it depends on us that our children have a good future,” said the Governor.
“GTO With You and Your Baby” is a program of the “With You Always Woman” strategy that was presented on May 22 and includes a series of programs and actions for all Guanajuato women to live better.
The progran supports girls and boys under one year of age already registered, or about to be registered, in one of the Civil Registry offices of the State of Guanajuato and who are still under one year of age.
“’Contigo Siempre Mujer’ is a comprehensive strategy that addresses different aspects to support them; today we come to Celaya for the Start of the ‘With You and Your Baby’ Program”, said the Governor.
“We believe in the talent, ability and strength of the Guanajuatense women; we believe in your intelligence, in your desire to improve and in your constant struggle. We believe that women have a different vision and another way of facing life, with a capacity that comes from their DNA,” said Rodriguez Vallejo.
“With You Always Woman” has 3 strategic lines:
- 1 Improve the income of women
- 2 Take care of the health of women, daughters and sons
- 3 Strengthen the education of women, daughters and sons
“GTO With You and Your Baby” seeks to contribute to the prevention of gastrointestinal diseases in girls and boys registered in the State of Guanajuato, under one year of age, through access to hygiene supplies and first care.
For this Program, 62 million 75 thousand pesos were allocated to deliver 100 thousand “GTO With You and Your Baby” Kits that contain:
- A crib blanket
- A crib sheet
- A face towel
- A bath towel
- An antifluid mattress with a cover
To obtain this kit, valid official identification of the mother, father or companion must be presented; that the babies are less than one year old; that the babies have been or are registered in any of the State Civil Registry Offices; if the baby has already been registered, it is not necessary to bring him in to receive the kit. Only one kit will be delivered for each registered minor.
The Secretary of Social and Human Development, Libia Denisse Garcia Munoz Ledo, said that this unit will continue to allocate support programs to families, because they are the most valuable in Guanajuato.
“We come to confirm to you that you count on us and in the Ministry of Social and Human Development you have an ally. Today we want to be with you, here is the present and future of Guanajuato; we want you to be safe and as mothers, know that we are here to team up with you”, said the Secretary.
The Mayor of Celaya, Javier Mendoza Marquez, said that the Government of Guanajuato is once again a national example by exposing relevant social benefit programs.
He added that the joint work between the State and Municipal Governments preserves human dignity, social respect and, in particular, the health of women and their infants.
“For us as governments, we put the human being at the center of public policies, where mothers of families are a priority as they are the central axis of society,” said the Mayor.
