In commemoration of Labor Day, the People’s Government reaffirmed its commitment to protect the rights of workers and create opportunities for all.

Representing Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, Secretary of Government Jorge Jimenez Lona welcomed the progress and reaffirmed the commitment of society and the government to persevere in the defense of labor rights.

“Work is the indispensable path to individual success and the development of societies. Through the perseverance and effort of workers, their commitment enables the creativity and dynamism of companies to design, manufacture, distribute, and make available to people the products and services necessary for a better quality of life,” said Jimenez Lona.
The Official said that Guanajuato is the fifth-largest economy nationwide, thanks to the work and collaboration of everyone, and “today we are a source of pride and a global benchmark for great companies and workers. Our goal is to keep working.”

Jimenez said that the People’s Government recognizes and celebrates the work carried out for decades by the Confederation of Mexican Workers and the Federation of State Workers, and he added, “We join this effort with the conviction of protecting the rights of working people and consolidating the promise of a Guanajuato with opportunities for all within their families in our State.”

“International political and economic turbulence, signs of change in global trade, and technological advances in artificial intelligence and automation are shaping a new landscape every day to which we must adapt in our respective spheres of action. Today, workers, businesses, society, and authorities alike are entering uncharted waters, with all the risks and opportunities that this entails,” said Jimenez Lona.

The Secretary of Government reiterated that the State reaffirms its policy of open doors, openness to dialogue, and spaces for conciliation and full application of the law.
Finally, he acknowledged and thanked the work done by the unions in our Country and State, where they have been recognized for their contributions and for the defense of workers’ rights.
