Government promotes productive reconversión

Strategic investment drives technological modernization and diversification for greater competitiveness and added value

Institutional support offers market intelligence, training, and links to modern consumption

The People’s Government, through the Secretary of Economy, is committed to a public policy that prioritizes investment in productive reconversion and institutional support to align the prosperity of companies with new consumption models.

Under the leadership of Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, economic policy is focused on people through job protection and strengthening Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The head of the Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, assured that the productive reconversion responds to changes in consumption patterns driven by new generations, that demand sustainable, traceable and personalized products.

Villasenor said that they are working on three fronts:

• First, market intelligence: analysis of generational trends and opportunities, in partnership with chambers and business organizations, to make data-driven decisions
• Second, process innovation: support programs for Industry 4.0 technology, productive diversification and sustainable criteria, which increase productivity and margins
• Third, ongoing support: advice, training and connection to new markets, with schemes of certainty for entrepreneurs

In addition, Villasenor Aguilar said that the resources are directed towards technological modernization and diversification, with an emphasis on sustainability and added value for competitiveness, and the institutional support focuses on market intelligence, training and linkage to move towards the new macroeconomic trends.

The economic policy of the State of Guanajuato is preparing, with the private sector, to meet global challenges in order to address current situations and strengthen the productive ecosystem of the State.
