“I’m here today to tell Guanajuato’s businesses that they have a strong Governor, who won’t leave them alone. That’s why we’re handing over this La Plaquita square, because we know our merchants come to this place on Sundays to make their sales,” said the People’s Governor, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, during the inauguration of the new market.

This project is part of the Municipal Government’s efforts and covers an area of 27,000 square meters, of which 6,756 square meters will be used for parking, also benefiting emergency and social service institutions.

At the request of the merchants, the Governor pledged to begin a project to build a roof for this La Plaquita market.
This market is located on the grounds of the former fair, adjacent to the Bus Depot, the Convention Center, and the Health Center, making it a strategic location for commerce.

On this work tour of Dolores Hidalgo, the Governor was with Adrian Hernandez Alejandri, to deliver support to merchants in Region 2 (Dolores Hidalgo, San Felipe, Ocampo, San Diego de la Unión, and San Miguel de Allende) through the My Store at 100 and My Plaza programs.
“What we’re seeing here isn’t just a cart, a refrigerator, a shelf, or a tool for our businesses; it’s truly a dream come true for our merchants. It’s a vote of confidence, letting them know that you can do it and that you’re not alone,” said the State Governor.

From Mi Tienda al 100, 103 merchants received support with a combined investment of 2 million 57 thousand pesos, of which 1.5 million came from the State and just over 519 thousand from the municipality.
Meanwhile, “Mi Plaza” will benefit 163 merchants with equipment valued at 1.2 million pesos; payment terminals will also be delivered, and 116 merchants have been trained in digital tools, with a State investment of 440,800 pesos.

More sports infrastructure in Dolores Hidalgo
In her work tour Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo delivered the second phase of the remodeling of the Padre Hidalgo Sports Unit, benefiting more than 163,000 people.
“We want sports to continue growing in Guanajuato, so we’re very pleased to deliver this project, which was completed in two stages. In the first stage, just over 12 million pesos were invested with municipal funds”, said Libia Dennise.

“And for the second phase, an investment of 20.8 million pesos was made, contributed by the State and the Municipality. This demonstrates the teamwork required to ensure our people have the best spaces to practice sports,” said the Governor.
