JuventudEsGTO and ITESM sign an agreement to train young people

The Institute for the Development and Attention to Youth of the State of Guanajuato and the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Studies –ITESM- Leon campus, participated in the signing of the agreement “Leaders of tomorrow Greatness of Guanajuato”, a program in which JuventudEsGTO has supported 13 young people to continue with their studies.
“The governor is very clear and always says that the young are the most valuable thing that any nation can have and from Guanajuato we want to give those tools that allow young Guanajuatenses to be citizens of the world,” said Antonio Navarro, director general of JuventudEsGTO.
Navarro added that Guanajuato has a unique institution in the country that supports youth, giving them the necessary tools to promote their development.
As an example, he cited the delivery of 100,000 computers to students and teachers, without the Covid 19 pandemic being stopping Officials from doing this. In addition to investing more than 110 million pesos during the administration of Governor Diego Sinhue in young people who have lived an international experience to study a master’s degree, doctorate or diploma.
“Leaders of Tomorrow Greatness of Guanajuato” is the Tec de Monterrey program that trains the most brilliant and talented young people in Guanajuato, with the support of private initiative, graduates and society in general, who agree that education is the means to forge leaders and agents of change that Mexico needs.
“It is a program that generates social mobility, which is reflected in Mexico and in the world to recognize meritocracy, to those people who have merits,” said Juan Carlos Arreola, director of ITESM campus Leon.
The program has been running for 10 years and JuventudEsGTO has supported 13 young people for three generations, in this last generation financial support is provided to 3 young people who will continue their studies at Tec de Monterrey.
“This has been a great opportunity for me, it has allowed me to meet great people, friends, professors, teachers; establish and create interpersonal relationships, it has allowed me to learn a third language, be recognized, have the best grades, and soon be part of the inter-campus sports competition, and endless skills,” said Areli Hernández, a beneficiary of the program in her seventh generation and who is currently studying the fifth semester of International Business at the ITESM campus Leon.
