Members of foreign communities in Guanajuato held a meeting with the head of the Secretary of Human Rights of the People’s Government, Liz Alejandra Esparza Frausto, to continue their joint work of dialogue, exchange, and collaboration.

“Thank you for your interest in attending this meeting and following up on this concurrent effort, which, under the direction of Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, celebrates diversity and recognizes the valuable contributions of foreigners who have decided to make our State their home,” said the Official.
Esparza Frausto when welcoming the participants to the “Cultural Alliance for Quality” training workshop for representatives of foreign communities participating in the Festival of Nations of the Summer Festival in this city.

Present were representatives from:
- Chile, Egypt, Venezuela, Denmark, Italy, Turkey, France, El Salvador, Cuba, Pakistan, Argentina, Algeria, and Colombia
“And we’re here today because, by being close to you, we heed the instructions of the governor of the people: fewer windows and more citizens to listen to you and work with facts. That’s how Libya works: with facts,” said Esparza.
Guanajuato has a registry of 19 foreign communities, which are part of the different cultures that converge in the state.

This work is carried out through the Secretariat of Human Rights, with the objective of listening, sharing, and jointly building better conditions for coexistence and development for those who are part of this community, who also carry out their activities through which they participate in the state economy and thus contribute to the development of Guanajuato.
At this meeting, they received training in key aspects of Mexican tourism culture, the importance of their contributions, and the application of good housekeeping, administration, and hygiene practices to ensure their successful participation in the Festival of Nations in León.

“Guanajuato is a land of history, culture, work, and hospitality. Today, we reaffirm our commitment to respect, inclusion, and integration for all people, regardless of their nationality or place of origin. I invite you to actively participate, to share your ideas freely and respectfully, and to continue strengthening the bonds of cooperation and mutual understanding,” said the Secretary of Human Rights.
