The Government of the People, led by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, positions Guanajuato as a national benchmark for flexible and relevant training.

This joint effort strengthens the economic strategy of the Secretary of Economy, led by Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, to enhance employability, promote professional development, and foster education innovation aligned with the productive reality of Guanajuato.
The session was chaired by Fernando Cuadra Munoz, coordinator of the Subcommittee, with the Undersecretary of Employment and Job Training, Luis Andres Alvarez Aranda, as a member, presenting the findings of the discussions with various productive sectors.

These discussions identified skills and competency needs in the labor market to increase productivity.
Different training requirements were defined in industries such as:
- Automotive-auto parts
- Leather-footwear
- Agrobusiness
- Logistics
- Information technology

Trends that are transforming labor demand in Guanajuato were presented and validated, including:
- Industrial digitalization, digital citizenship, cybersecurity, intensive use of data, artificial intelligence, hybrid technical-digital profiles, and the strengthening of soft skills
These analyses support the relevance of initiating micro-credential processes aligned with the real needs of the labor market of Guanajuato.
The State Productivity Commission, through its Subcommittee, is responsible for evaluating and guaranteeing the quality of the micro-credentials issued by higher education institutions, ensuring that they are relevant, valid, and aligned with productive demand.

Guanajuato became the first State in Mexico and Latin America to have an official legal framework for issuing micro-credentials, recognized by international organizations such as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Micro-credentials certify the acquisition of specific skills, knowledge, or abilities, contributing to individuals’ professional and personal development with official recognition and validity.
