FIMODA continues to consolidate the fashion industry in Guanajuato

During the celebration of “November fashion month, Guanajuato inspiration that dress you” the 8th. edition of the Fashion Industry Supply Forum, FIMODA, was inaugurated, in which the development of the State’s micro, small and medium-sized companies is strengthened.
Through business meetings, the fashion industrialists of Guanajuato will connect with national and international buyers in order to position themselves in new commercialization markets.
Ramon Alfaro Gomez, Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development –SDES-, noted that in Guanajuato, with the leadership of Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, the fashion industry has transformed in recent years to contribute fundamentally to the State’s economy, hence the importance of implementing actions that contribute to its positioning.
FIMODA aims to improve sales strategies by innovating in new marketing channels, linking national and international purchasing companies with supplier companies from Guanajuato, satisfying the needs of a demanding market with a high quality standard.
Through this strategy, more than 80 Guanajuatense companies will have the opportunity to connect with potential customers, establish commercial alliances and position their sales so that Guanajuatense products and brands compete in new commercial showcases.
This eighth edition brings together 13 buying companies from:
- Mexico City, Guadalajara, San Luis Potosi, Chihuahua, Sonora, Leon, Guatemala and the United States
Some of the companies are:
- C&A, Rarramuri Boots, High Life, Roberts, Men’s Fashion, Zapateria Piu Fine, Lino Azul, What’sUp?, Serissa, Boutiques Rosa Claro, Coqueta y Audaz, Portland Leather Group, Anisa and Pole Star Acquisitions
Also participating are local businessmen from the sectors:
- Textile-clothing, leather-footwear, leather goods, hat and accessories
These productive sectors are from the municipalities of:
- Celaya, Irapuato, Leon, Moroleon, Uriangato, Yuriria, Salamanca, San Francisco del Rincon and Purisima del Rincon
The State Government promotes the development and competitiveness of Guanajuato MSMEs through strategies that allow them to position themselves in new sales markets, and with this contribute to strengthening the local economy.
