“Culture generates unity, and that is what the Cervantino International Festival gives us, which in the 52nd edition will have Brazil and the state of Oaxaca as guests”, said the Governor of the State, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, when participating in the presentation of the International Cervantino Festival -FIC- which will be held October 11 to the 27 the, 2024.
For 17 days you will enjoy the best of visual arts, dance, music, theater and literature.
“We are very happy to receive them. We will have Brazil as a guest country, so we will be able to see the joy and cultural diversity of this sister country. We will enjoy their joy, with the samba, the batucada, their bossa nova, and the lambada,” said the Governor.
Rodriguez Vallejo also warmly welcomed the great sister state of Oaxaca. “We are happy to welcome artists and creators from the eight regions of this wonderful State of our Country.”
The culture and folklore of the Central Valleys, the Coast, the Sierra Norte, the Sierra Sur, the Canada, the Mixteca, the Isthmus, and the Papaloapan are welcome.
Oaxaca is great not only in territory, but also in cultural heritage, natural diversity, agricultural production and tourist destinations. And above all, for the Guelaguetza, which will be a great privilege to have in Guanajuato, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Federal Secretary of Culture, Alejandra Frausto, also welcomed Brazil and Oaxaca to the “Festival of the Spirit…the Festival of Freedom, which in this edition will have the presence of 30 countries and thousands of artists who will meet in Guanajuato for 17 days”.
