With an entrepreneurial spirit, some one hundred women and young people gathered to participate in the Initial Entrepreneur Workshop, an initiative promoted by the People’s Government through the Financiera y Apoyos Tu Puedes Guanajuato, to support those who seek to start or strengthen their small businesses.

The attendees acquired basic knowledge of financial education, fundamental to start a productive project, such as business planning, recognizing the costs of a product or service and correctly setting sales prices.

The general director of Financiera y Apoyos Tu Puedes Guanajuato, Ivon Padilla Hernández, explained that this class goes beyond just training, as it also focuses on the development of key mental skills for entrepreneurship.
“I am very excited to be in Santiago Maravatio and shake your hands. This municipality is part of the journey we are undertaking in 2026 to bring real opportunities to the people,” said Ivon.

“Meeting so many women and young people full of ideas, projects and determination is a clear sign that in Guanajuato talent is still alive and moving,” said the Official.
“Here you not only learn to start a business; you learn to resist, to get up and keep moving forward with conviction,” said the director of Financiera de la Gente.
Padilla added that this space was designed to offer practical and accessible tools, especially in financial matters, such as the analysis of production or service provision costs and the proper definition of prices, essential elements for making informed decisions from the start of an undertaking.

This workshop also serves as the primary requirement for accessing the “We Believe in You” financial aid program, which provides 7,000 pesos in non-refundable funds. Therefore, at the end of the session, participants submitted their applications to the program with the assistance of staff from Financiera de la Gente.
“I want to build a legacy for my family; in the coming days I want to start selling tacos, I want to sell steak, tripe, and chorizo tacos, with molcajete salsa and handmade tortillas, to offer the best to my customers,” said Christian Adrian Rivera Hernandez, 24 years old, who has a clear goal: to start his own business to build a personal patrimony.

Rivera said that he really enjoyed the workshop because, in addition to receiving advice on how to start a business, she was filled with trust and enthusiasm to become an entrepreneur.
With stories like this, in the People’s Government, through Tu Puedes Guanajuato, we walk alongside the people of Guanajuato because we are convinced that the effort of an entrepreneurial person not only changes their life, but also generates prosperity and opportunities for those around them.
