With an investment of 20.1 million dollars and the generation of 500 jobs, the first EGO Componentes Electronicos plant was inaugurated in Guanajuato.
Representing the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, headed this event, which marks a milestone in attracting high-impact targeted investments and the diversification of the local economy.
“The arrival of EGO Componentes Electronicos to Guanajuato is not a coincidence. It is the result of a clear and determined strategy to attract investments that generate employment, promote industrial growth and strengthen our economy,” said Villasenor.
The plant specializes in the production of electronic and mechatronic controls for household appliances, including gas controllers, control tablets for washing machines, power regulators, tubular resistors, induction cooking systems and stove burners, as well as electronic assemblies for household appliances and auto parts.
Its installation in Guanajuato responds to a growth strategy focused on job creation and strengthening the industrial sector.
With its arrival, EGO Componentes Electronicos joins companies such as Whirlpool, Mabe, Moulinex and Collins, consolidating Guanajuato as a world leader in the development and production of household appliances and their components.
Based in Oberderdingen, Germany, EGO has 100 years of experience in the development and manufacturing of components for household appliances and automotive parts.
Its global presence spans Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, Slovenia, Italy, China and now Mexico, consolidating its leadership in the sector.
Germany is the third country with the largest investment in Guanajuato, with an amount exceeding 3.5 billion dollars, distributed in 64 projects that have created more than 34 thousand jobs.
The People’s Government reaffirms its commitment to industrial development through incentives that foster innovation, job creation and the integration of companies with the local productive ecosystem.
The opening of this plant marks the beginning of a long-term strategic alliance between EGO Componentes Electronicos and Guanajuato, promoting technological development and industrial specialization in the Laja-Bajio region.
