To contribute to the State’s economic development, inclusion, and equity for residents of Guanajuato who have not had access to credit, the People’s Government, through the Tu Puedes Guanajuato Financial and Support Fund, signed a collaboration agreement with the municipality of Guanajuato.

Ivon Padilla Hernandez, Director General of the agency, said in a meeting with the mayor that Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo’s mandate is to strengthen collaborative work for the benefit of the public.

“With this collaboration agreement we’re forging with the municipality of Guanajuato, our goal is to facilitate access for all citizens so they can obtain financing to start, launch, or grow their existing businesses. This agreement is very important because we want the People’s Finance Company to be present in every municipality, in every corner of Guanajuato,” said Padilla.

“I want to remind you that we have financing for everyone with the best interest rates, grace periods, and personalized advice so you can get your business off the ground. I assure you, no one will be able to match us, so I encourage you to trust this People’s Finance Company and learn about all the benefits and advantages it offers,” said the Director.

Samantha Smith, the mayor of Guanajuato City, said that these financial alternatives are an efficient and timely solution to address the needs of entrepreneurs.

“We’re working on two projects. One relates to the Hidalgo Market, and the other is for our street merchants, both permanent and semi-permanent. At the market, we’re working on a concept that will first involve inviting people to do so and standardize the structures so they’re made of steel. With the street merchants, we’ll invite them to have carts and encourage them to take the plunge, the leap they need to take to rent a fixed space,” said the Mayor.

In the end, Smith considered this financing scheme accessible to citizens who can start with 10,000 pesos and scale with their business.

Finally, the head of the Finance and Support Agency reported that for 2025, the plan is to approve 2,705 loans, equivalent to 375.5 million pesos.
