In Guanajuato, Mexican and foreign Officials analyze opportunities by sharing knowledge, experience and vision to supports startups and SMEs

The Second European Union-Mexico Digital Economy Forum was inaugurated, organized by the Delegation of the European Union in Mexico and the government of Guanajuato through the Institute of Innovation, Science and Entrepreneurship for Competitiveness for the State of Guanajuato -IDEA GTO-, with the collaboration of the states of Jalisco and Queretaro.
This Forum is a space where experts in the Digital Economy share knowledge, experiences and visions to identify opportunities in start-ups, SMEs and the general public, strengthening ties between the European Union and Mexico.
The opening was by the Ambassador of the European Union in Mexico, Gautier Mignot, who stressed that “Mexico and the European Union maintain a high-level open dialogue on the digital economy where collaboration models are analyzed and measures and efforts are agreed on for the benefit of citizens and businesses”.
“I am sure that knowledge, experiences and visions will be shared here to identify new opportunities in cybersecurity, personal data protection and business opportunities, with actions like these we continue to strengthen the Valley of Mindfacture”, said Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
The first webinar of the Second European Union-Mexico Digital Economy Forum was dedicated to the topic of “Digital Identity” and discussed topics on personal data in digital environments, dangers and management of digital identity, as well as technologies for its protection.
The Forum is made up of four webinars, which will be held between November 22 and 30 and will address the following topics:
- Digital Identity, High Performance Computing, Cybersecurity and Public Policy for the Digital Economy.
The closing ceremony will be on November 30 at 10:30 a.m.
