The State DIF delivers more than 9,000 items to families that were affected by the overflow caused by rain in San Pedro de Ibarra, Ocampo

In continuity with the actions to support families affected by the recent floods in the community of San Pedro de Ibarra in the municipality of Ocampo, the State DIF System carried out the second delivery of food supplies, reaffirming its commitment to the well-being of people in emergency situations.

The Director General of the State DIF System, Jose Alfonso Borja Pimentel, explained that the Volunteer Program People with Ocampo carried out this new food delivery, distributing 8,250 basic necessities to contribute to the recovery of better living conditions of families facing adverse conditions.

The donation delivered includes:
- 3,600 pieces of food: legumes, grains and cereals, tuna, sardines, liquid and powdered milk, oil, and canned vegetables
- 1,200 personal hygiene items: toilet paper, toothpaste and toothbrush, body soap, sanitary napkins, deodorant, shampoo, and wet wipes
- 3,150 500 ml bottles of water
- 300 cleaning tools: mops, brooms, dustpans and squeegees
The food and supplies were transported in special vehicles, ensuring their timely arrival to the community’s families. With this second delivery, the total number of donated items is of more than 9,325, with 350 food parcels, 500 blankets, and 500 sleeping mats delivered.

Borja Pimentel thanked the people, institutions, organizations and companies that have joined in solidarity with this great campaign.
The Official invited citizens to continue donating to the collection centers set up by the State DIF System, the 46 Municipal DIF Systems, and the Nuevo Comienzo Centers, as each contribution brings hope to those going through difficult times.

Eva Guadalupe López, a resident of Ibarra and beneficiary of the food delivery, thanked the people of Guanajuato for their support through the Volunteer Program People with Ocampo: “I feel very grateful for being supported in this difficult time. I am happy with the people who have come to help us. The food will be very useful.”
Vicenta Gonzalez Barrera, another beneficiary, thanked the State DIF for bringing this support to the families most in need: “I am very happy for all the help you are giving us. On behalf of the community, we thank you for this contribution you have made to continue taking care of our families.”

- Guanajuato State DIF System (Paseo de la Presa # 89 A in Guanajuato City)
- The 46 Municipal DIF Systems
- New Beginning Centers in each municipality
- The collection centers will be open from June 23 to July 31, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

What can be donated?:
- Pantry.- Rice, beans, canned goods, pasta, oil, bottled water (any presentation)
- Cleaning.- Tools, soap, detergent, bleach, toilet paper
- Personal care.- Diapers for girls, boys and older adults
- Personal hygiene.- Shampoo, toothpaste, wet wipes
- Home.- Household goods, furniture in good condition
