According to the hydrometeorological report of the Secretary of Water and Environment, during the month of September to this date, 88.1 millimeters or liters per square meter of rain have been recorded on average in Guanajuato.

The cumulative rainfall throughout 2025 to date has been 646 millimeters or liters per square meter, compared to 620.8 millimeters on the last day of this month in 2024.

The State’s main dams have an average storage capacity of 101.3 percent, recording 1.85 billion cubic meters, compared to 1.673 billion cubic meters at the same time in 2024, corresponding to 91.6 percent.

The public is urged to heed preventive measures such as avoiding crossing flooded streets, driving with caution and with the headlights on, and placing garbage in its proper place, not on the streets, since, in addition to causing environmental damage it can cause sewer blockages, resulting in flooding or potential flooding that could cause significant damage in several areas of the municipalities and report any emergency to 911.
