The Dallas Fort Worth–BJX flight will begin operations on December 8 with three flights a week

The Secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato, Viva Aerobus, and the Guanajuato International Airport -BJX-, announced the strengthening of the State’s international connectivity with the new Dallas Fort Worth-Bajio DFW-BJX route, which will begin operations on December 8 with three flights a week.
“Guanajuato is one of the States with the highest number of international tourists. Currently, more than 13% of our visitors come from other countries. This new flight will give a boost to the tourism sector and our visitors. We thank Viva Aerobus for its trust and we wish it the greatest success on this new route,” said Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, Secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato.
With this route, Viva Aerobus makes it easier to access Guanajuato, now adding a total of nine routes from Guanajuato:
- Ciudad Juarez, Cancun, Merida, Monterrey, Tijuana, Houston, Chicago, San Antonio and, soon, Dallas Fort Worth
Viva will also increase the number of flights per week on the rest of its routes from Guanajuato to the United States. Starting in December, the airline will operate between four and five frequencies per week on its route to Houston, between two and three flights per week on its service to San Antonio and, temporarily, from November to December, up to three flights a the week to Chicago O’Hare.
Subsequently, between June and July 2024, it will increase capacity again to offer one daily flight to Houston, four weekly flights to San Antonio and three weekly flights to Chicago O’Hare.
