Medical infrastructure is improved to strengthen health care for families in Jalpa de Cánovas

To consolidate the Health System of Guanajuato as one of the best in all the country, the Government of Guanajuato through the Secretary of Infrastructure, Connectivity and Mobility -SICOM-, works to strengthen the existing medical infrastructure, for this, it carries out works to replace and expand the Primary Health Care Medical Units -UMAPS- in Guanajuato.
Given this, the head of SICOM, Tarcisio Rodriguez Martinez, announced that, in the community of Jalpa de Canovas, in Purisima del Rincon, the work of the UMAPS to date presents a progress of 17%.
Rodriguez Martinez said that, for this work, an investment of 17 million 561 thousand 961 pesos is made, a resource from the Institute of Public Health of the State of Guanajuato -ISAPEG-, it is done under the agreed work program and a term of 365 calendar days for its execution, so its conclusion is estimated in mid-January 2024.
The construction includes:
- Main access to the unit with vestibule
- External consultation area with waiting room
- Support center, clinical file, drug sub-warehouse, SITE
- Multipurpose room
- Two general medicine offices, immunizations
- Public toilets module
In addition to a treatment room, temporary stay for patients, patio services, residence for doctors with toilet area, laundry room, warehouse, powerhouse and circulation.
Outside there will be a place to concentrate biological-infectious hazardous waste, garbage room, plaza, pavements, parking lot, containment area, walkways, stairs, green areas, perimeter fence and dignified waiting area.
