The Secretary of Tourism of the State of Guanajuato celebrates the elegance, comfort, hospitality, quality of service, and creativity of San Miguel de Allende, a destination that stands out among the best cities in the world and in the Top 10 Hotels in Mexico Readers’ Choice Awards 2023 by Condé Nast Traveler.
The prestigious magazine revealed the winners of the Readers’ Choice Awards 2023 in its 36th edition, a vote in which more than half a million readers around the world participated to select the best representatives of various categories related to travel and tourism. They all highlighted factors such as location, food and drink, atmosphere, amenities and the overall value of the experience.
In this list, the World Heritage City was recognized as the 3rd. Best City in the World, thanks to its vibrant offer of wellness, romance, nature, gastronomic, architecture, and art experiences.
This year, readers and travelers made it clear that the hotels in San Miguel de Allende captivate and enchant; this recognition was won by:
- The Matilda Hotel, which won first place on the list -for the third consecutive year–
- Casa de Sierra Nevada A Belmond Hotel with second place
- Rosewood took eighth place
Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, Secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato, applauded this achievement in the company of Bruce James, Managing Partner, Hotel Matilda; Eduardo Aram Martinez, Sales Director, Casa Sierra Nevada A Belmond Hotel; and July Kahoiti, Director of Sales and Marketing Hotel Rosewood, and congratulated them for working in alliances with the State Government and with their own collaborators.
“This recognition is very well deserved. For the State of Guanajuato, having a heritage city, which stands out for its hotel infrastructure, for the commitment of the sector, and for maintaining itself at this level, is a reason for satisfaction,” acknowledged the Secretary of Tourism.
San Miguel de Allende has “always been in the first places. Congratulations to these 3 hotels of national and international renown for maintaining quality and determination with their great work teams,” said Alvarez Brunel.
