COFOCE generates trade bridges with Canada and Hong Kong by signing collaboration agreements for business development
COFOCE endorses the commitment to bring more Guanajuato to the world by creating commercial ties with Canada and Hong Kong

To foster collaboration in areas of business development, promote the exchange of goods, promoting the transfer of knowledge and the exchange of good practices in these fields, the signing of a collaboration agreement was carried out between COFOCE and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico, CanCham, and one more with the Hong Kong, Trade Development Council.
“Canada and Hong Kong represent two very important markets, Canada is currently our 2nd export destination, about 280 companies from Guanajuato are exporting to the Canadian market, just last year we closed with exports for more than 1,200 million dollars. Hong Kong, a market with which we have been doing business for years is part of what is the People’s Republic of China and represents one of the top 10 export destinations”, said Luis Rojas Avila, Director General of COFOCE.
This signing of agreements with Canada and Hong Kong endorse the commitment to continue building commercial bridges with both, thus allowing the exchange of products and bringing more of Guanajuato to the world.
“To endorse this effort to continue opening bridges to exports. The export simply in 2022, represented for the GDP of Guanajuato nothing more and nothing less than 60 percent. That is the importance of exports in our State”, said Rojas Avila.
Luis Rojas Avila, said that; Guanajuato is the number one producer of automobiles, but it also seeks to be the State with the largest number of exporting MiPyMes in Latin America and COFOCE is working on this challenge, for this reason an internationalization support fund was provided for 25 million pesos.
Amapola Grijalva, representative in Mexico of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, gave a conference on the Commercial Opportunities of Mexico’s Technological Exchange in Hong Kong, which precisely opens the doors of foreign trade, exchange of ideas as well as generation of business connections to businessmen from Guanajuato.
There was a panel on Nearshoring and aerospace strategy, with the participation of Luis Rojas Avila, General Director of COFOCE; Laura Constanza, Founding Partner of the Law Firm Amezcua & Asociados SC (Members of CANCHAM); Oscar Rodriguez Yanez, president of the Guanajuato Aerospace Cluster and Ernesto Velarde Danache, member of CANCHAM).
