The Innovation Institute opened the doors of the House of Entrepreneurship at the CICEG facilities in alliance with the University of Guanajuato; businesspeople, entrepreneurs, and the academic community gathered in the event.
The House of Entrepreneurship is a space designed to strengthen Guanajuato’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and foster innovation, creativity, and technological development in the region.
The event was led by Juan Antonio Reus Montano, General Director of the Innovation Institute, who noted the importance of the accessibility of this House of Entrepreneurship by being close to the people.
Reus said that there is no excuse for innovation and acknowledged that the Footwear Chamber maintains its spirit of reinvention and is always busy providing new technological tools to its members, proof of which are all the programs that are being worked on together such as the so-called Innova CICEG.
Reus said that these spaces integrate mentoring, project incubation, access to advanced technological infrastructure, and opportunities for connection with applied research for the general public, not just for the Chamber of Footwear.
Juan Carlos Cashat Usabiaga, President of the Chamber of Footwear, emphasized the importance of connecting entrepreneurs with the industry, strengthening competencies, promoting local talent, and consolidating projects with the potential for scaling and maintaining market presence.
The House of Entrepreneurship is part of a comprehensive model that combines learning, project development, hackathons, workshops, and collaborative spaces.
Its main activities include digital entrepreneurship, digital marketing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital design, scientific outreach, research and development, and digital content creation.
The activities of this Entrepreneurship Center allow entrepreneurs to develop strategic and technical skills that prepare them to face the challenges of an increasingly competitive and global market.
Guanajuato has seven Entrepreneurship Centers, located in Silao, Guanajuato, Irapuato, Celaya, and Leon, consolidating an innovation network that connects municipalities, universities, companies, and entrepreneurs, driving economic and technological growth throughout the region.
Attendees toured the facilities and learned about the first projects already under development, highlighting the potential for innovation and growth that this space offers to entrepreneurs and industry in Guanajuato.
With this people-centered strategy, Guanajuato consolidates its position as a hub of innovation and technological development, accelerating the transformation of ideas into solid, scalable, and sustainable projects.
The opening of this Entrepreneurship Center reinforces the commitment of the Innovation Institute, CICEG, and the University of Guanajuato to connect entrepreneurs with strategic opportunities to boost Guanajuato’s economy and technological development.
