The Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, inaugurated, as guest of honor, Phase II of the plant of the Botanas y Derivados company -BYDSA-.

“Guanajuato is a State that is betting on attracting investments, but also on generating local suppliers and with BYDSA this synergy is being achieved,” said the Governor.

In addition to exceeding the six-year goal in attraction of investment, the Governor added that there is also a commitment to generating local suppliers to strengthen marketing.

Rodriguez Vallejo said that among the advantages of Guanajuato stands out its geographical location, commercial logistics, the talent of the people and the proximity to 60% of the Mexican population, within a radius of 400 kilometers, to make a good national market.

“There are many advantages in Guanajuato, we also have governments with a long-term vision, growth planning, planning institutions, citizen participation and that is why Guanajuato grows twice as much as Mexico grows”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.

“The most important is its people because they are first-class people, hard-working par excellence, responsible, innovative and eager to improve themselves,” said the Governor.

Originally from the State of Nuevo Leon, BYDSA is a food and beverage company created by Grupo Xignux in 2003; manages the Leo, Encanto and Snaky brands.

In its production line BYDSA produces:

  • Salty snacks, potatoes, pork and flour cracklings, fried corn, extruded corn, salted and Japanese-type peanuts, tortillas, salted pumpkin and sunflower seeds, among other

The products of BYDSA are distributed in 267 thousand points of sale, 54 distribution centers and more than 2,450 delivery routes.

Heading towards its growth in Mexico, BYDSA arrived in Leon two years ago to establish a strategic production and sales point; they inaugurated Phase II of this plant, where french fries will be produced, with 100% Mexican and Guanajuatense inputs.

This company aims to conquer new territories in the Bajio, Central and Southeastern Mexico, and strengthen its two distribution and product manufacturing points in Texas, in the United States.
