Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, led the graduation ceremony for 208 students from 18 municipalities who received scholarships through the Brighter Futures Program.
This program is worked with IDEA GTO by the company BYJU’S, an Indian education technology multinational based in Bangalore.
“It is always a pride to see the capacity and talent of Guanajuato’s children and youth. And today is one of those moments. We have always said that the best investment that can be made in our children is education, because education is the key that opens all the doors of development”, said the Governor.
“It is a pleasure to invest in education, which is why I am very pleased to participate in this ceremony, to see these girls, boys and adolescents complete a cycle in their academic training, in which they acquired knowledge that detonates their technical skills”, noted Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor said that “in Guanajuato we are a state open to the world, which makes alliances with the best on the planet, and in this case it is with the Indian company BYJU’S”.
Rodriguez Vallejo thanked BYJU’S and the India-Mexico Chamber of Business for working hand in hand with IDEA GTO to make this great initiative possible.
Of these 208 students who received scholarships to participate in this program:
- More than 54% of them study in public schools
- The age of the benefited students ranges from 7 to 17 years
- With an average age of 12
Today the first generation of this program, which began in September of last year, is graduating. Each one obtains 2 certifications:
- One as an APPS developer
- Another as a video game developer
The most important thing is that from this learning, they will detonate all their capacity; Since BYJU’S is at the forefront in creating immersive and technology-driven experiences for students around the world, the Governor highlighted.
With programs of this type, we continue to strengthen the Valley of the Mindfacture, Guanajuato is on the right track to climb to the next level, said the State President.
