Bayer plant expansion is inaugurated

The People’s Government promotes regional innovation and productivity with investments with greater technological content

With an investment of more than 63 million pesos and the creation of 35 jobs, the expansion and new access to the Bayer plant were inaugurated.

Under the leadership of Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the government is promoting the attraction of targeted, complementary, and sustainable investments to consolidate Guanajuato as an attractive State for business.

The head of the Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, said that this investment represents a significant advance for the prosperity and economic and technological development of Guanajuato.

The project includes the implementation of advanced infrastructure, including renovated access to the plant, an automated pre-melting shelling line to serve strategic clients, including Asgrow, Dekalb, and CB, as well as a security system with an automated, armored booth, a first in Latin America.

These improvements, in addition to increasing productivity and safety, create conditions for attracting future investment.

Guanajuato is committed to accelerating its economy with greater added value through the application of science in traditional sectors to generate and maintain more specialized jobs, strengthening production chains, and opening new markets.

The State stands out for its technological ecosystem, which integrates industrial parks, research centers, and universities, working together with the private sector to transform knowledge into economic development.

The increase in the Bayer plant production capacity represents the sum of traditional economic activities, such as agroindustry, and the technological modernization that characterizes the State.

This type of projects strengthen food security, boost exports, and expand job opportunities in municipalities in the Laja-Bajio region.

During the current administration, 31 projects have been completed, creating more than 7,600 jobs, representing an investment of $2.53 billion, reflecting the trust that global companies like Bayer place in Guanajuato.
