Thanks to the recent Joint Collaboration Agreement between Aeroméxico-Delta -which allows greater connectivity and more schedule options that benefit the customers of both airlines-, Guanajuato will add Atlanta and Detroit to its air offer, destinations that will be incorporated into the 10 existing frequencies internationals that come to Guanajuato from:
- Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Oakland, Sacramento, San Jose, Fresno and San Antonio
Aeroméxico’s increase in routes and frequencies is possible thanks to its renewed fleet with more than 50 new aircraft, most of them Boeing 737MAX, which makes it possible to continue elevating the trip to an extraordinary experience.
With these two new flights that will arrive in Guanajuato, the State Tourism Secretary, led by Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, insists that the Airport continues to raise the aviation flag at the national level by positioning itself as the most important in the Central region of Mexico.
“This announcement confirms that Guanajuato is on the right path. Guanajuato has been in constant talks with airlines from Canada, the United States, Mexico, Colombia and Europe, so that flights with tourists from all over the world continue to arrive,” applauded the Secretary of Tourism.
Álvarez Brunel pointed out that thanks to this type of agreements and the alliances between the State Government, the Municipal Government and private investors, Guanajuato is beginning to have tourism indicators that were recorded in 2019, before Covid 19 pandemic. “For the first time, last August, the State received 2.1 million visitors which, compared to 2019, that registered 1.9 million visitors, is a significant growth”, said Brunel.
